Life Labyrinth designed by PATTERNITY was installed on Westminster Cathedral piazza for the London Design Festival between 14th to 22nd September 2019.
The installation is absolutely gorgeous as it features a black and white geometrical design that is patterned all the way through the "labyrinth". This actually gave it more of a serene grace to it as I walked it in making me calm and slowly making my way to the centre (especially as I chose a day when it was drizzling with rain).
The centre features a surrounding of plants which seeks to plant (excuse the pun) the seed of imagination, mindfulness and positivity. The evocation caused a strong sensation of calmness. It was a reminder of when I went to Regent's Park to see the Frieze sculptures that I explored the park a bit more and found a section where the trees blocked out the city entirely, which gave me the same sensation that the maze gave me. Simple yet a masterpiece!
